Woodbury has recently been ranked number 12 in FORTUNE's 50 best places to live for families in the US. Woodbury's easy access on and off the highway and the large variety of medical, retail, restaurant and diversity of residential living makes Woodbury an attractive place for people from all over the area to visit, work, play and live.

The challenge with a developing community that offers a variety of services and amenities is the growing opportunity for crime and added need of emergency medical services.  Our Public Safety Department has established proactive approaches, such as the license plate reader systems located at the retail establishments in Woodbury. We also have fire/EMS mutual aid agreement with our neighboring cities, but our Public Safety Department (Police, Fire, EMS) remains understaffed for the City's growing needs. 

 

Recruiting good, quality public safety staff is one of my top priorities for the coming years.
